LIVESTREAM: Manchester Women vs Chelsea Women
The final and decisive match of the season for our Women's team.
The WSL title race could scarcely be closer, with Chelsea and Man City level on 52 points with just one game remaining. Emma Hayes is taking charge of her last game as Chelsea Women's manager before taking on the top job of the US Women's national team this summer, and wants to go out on a high as the Blues look to decide their destiny against Marc Skinner's United at Old Trafford.
Hayes' Chelsea sit top of the WSL table by virtue of goal difference, on +47 to City's +45. That means Chelsea will be WSL champions at the close of play today as long as they match or better City's result against Villa at Villa Park. Chelsea have scored 65 goals to City's 59, meaning that were City to beat their result by two goals exactly today, Chelsea would still be champions - but a swing of three goals or more would mean the trophy heads to the blue side of Manchester.
That means today is set to be a straight shootout between Chelsea and City, and each side will have one eye on what the other is doing. On paper, City look to have the better chance of running up a big scoreline at Villa Park, with Villa sitting seventh in the table on 24 points. However, Man United have suffered a disappointing WSL campaign, lagging behind the title contenders in fifth spot despite winning the Women's FA Cup - and have never beaten Chelsea in the WSL.
