This is why Chelsea want to sign Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham | Crazy skills and tackles.
Chelsea have reportedly made a contract offer for Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United ahead of being a free agent this summer.
Adarabioyo announced his decision not to renew with Fulham earlier this year, which means interested clubs have had time to assess the player as a potential target.
As well as Chelsea, the English centre-back has been linked to Manchester United and Newcastle. It makes sense that United would look to sign a 26-year-old centre-back with Premier League experience on a Bosman after the departure of Raphael Varane.
Adarabioyo lived in Manchester whilst coming through Man City’s academy.
According to Sky Sports News, Chelsea have offered a contract to Adarabioyo, with Newcastle still in talks with the Fulham defender.
The report doesn’t mention whether United are in the race for Adarabioyo’s signature, but no decision has been made on his future yet.
We have another two weeks until the transfer window opens, but some clubs will be carrying out negotiations in the lead-up to that to prepare their squads for the 2024/25 season.
Who is Tosin Adarabioyo?
Adarabioyo started his professional career with Manchester City making his senior debut in 2016 after progressing through the club's youth ranks. He later became the then-youngest-ever player to start a UEFA Champions League match for the club and ultimately made eight appearances across all competitions before loan spells at West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers. He joined Fulham on a permanent deal in July 2020.
Adarabioyo is a former England youth international and represented the country on 14 occasions between the under-16 and under-19 levels, although he is yet to make his senior debut for England. He also remains eligible to represent Nigeria through descent.
