"I want to move to Chelsea." €50M attacker throws door open to Chelsea move this summer.

 The player has thrown the door open to a potential Chelsea move as he wants to play in the Premier League.  

Chelsea target Jonathan David has given green light to a move to Chelsea this summer. Per reports, Chelsea have held talks with the representatives of Jonathan David, But the player himself has already spoken about his admiration of Premier League football.

The Canadian forward has emerged as a potential transfer target for the club over the past few months, as the Blues will be desperate to add a new striker to their attack.

Lille recently admitted they are preparing for the 24-year-old to leave, as Club president Olivier Letang has admitted that the striker is free to leave this transfer window, alongside defender Leny Yoro, who is also linked with a move to United.

The club have been in contact over a deal for the striker – But the player himself has already spoken about his admiration of Premier League football: “In England, when I watch the matches, everything is full each time,” he said in December 2023. “As a player, it motivates you even more.”

Previously he has also said: “I am aware of nothing. When I am at the World Cup I am just focused on trying to enjoy the World Cup and enjoying the moment.”

“What happens after I do not know, we will have to see. The Premier League is the best league in the world and I think every player would want to play there some day.”

The former Gent star, who has 84 goals in 183 Lille games, has one year left on his deal with the Ligue 1 club. Per transfermarkt, he is valued around €50M.
