LIVESTREAM: Chelsea vs Barrow | Carabao Cup | Third Round

Liverpool are the reigning champions of the competition following an extra time victory over Chelsea themselves at Wembley last term, so new boss Enzo Maresca will be hoping to go one better and land his first trophy at the club. The Blues have started the season in decent form, sitting fifth in the Premier League after three wins from five - but they’ll be looking to do a bit of a demolition job on Barrow this evening, even if Maresca fields a rotated side. Barrow are top of League Two, so in decent form themselves, but there’s quite the gap between the sides in financial and sporting comparisons and they’ll face a massive task to produce a giant-killing at Stamford Bridge, with the likes of Tosin Adarabioyo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Joao Felix all potentially playing. Per team news, here's how Chelsea line up: OFFICIAL: Chelsea XI to face Barrow in the Carabao cup: Jorgensen; Gusto, Disasi, Badiashile, Veiga; Casadei, Dewsbury-Hall; Neto, Felix, Mudryk; Nkunku Bench: Bettinelli,...

"Difficult to stop!" Mohammed Kudus hails special Chelsea star as the toughest to evade after West Ham United defeat.

Image
Chelsea•Post Match•News Mohammed Kudus has praised one Chelsea star following the Blues' 3-0 win against West Ham United.   Jackson opened the scoring early on when West Ham defending, described as "criminal" by Michael Dawson on  Soccer Saturday,  allowed him to beat Alphonse Areola on the angle having exchanged passes with Jadon Sancho and carried the ball forward unopposed. Julen Lopetegui's side completely switched off again soon afterwards, leaving Moises Caicedo free to send Jackson cantering through on goal for a coolly-taken second. West Ham tried to muster a response and were contentiously denied a penalty when VAR ruled Wesley Fofana's pull on Crysencio Summerville not to be "sustained holding". But any hopes of a recovery were dashed straight after half-time when Chelsea carved through West Ham yet again, with Jackson this time turning provider to set up Cole Palmer for an emphatic finish following a rapid counter-attack. Mohammed Kudus who w...

West Ham United   host   Chelsea  in Saturday’s early   Premier League   kick off with the aim of moving up the table after a middling start to the season. The Hammers’ only win of the campaign came against Crystal Palace back in August and they drew 1-1 with Fulham last time out. Manager Julen Lopetegui is attempting to build a more progressive and attacking side and will have been impressed with their early performances despite results not exactly falling their way. Today’s opponents are Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea. Currently eighth in the table, the Blues are running hot and cold with a 6-2 mauling of Wolves followed up by a 2-0 defeat at home to Man City. Three points today will likely take them into the top four but there are questions for Maresca to answer over his best starting line-up with Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson fighting to lead the line. TEAM NEWS:  Chelsea XI to face West Ham: Sanchez, Fofana, Adarabioyo, Colwill, ...

Enzo Maresca has been told to start one Chelsea star against West Ham United.   Chelsea return to Premier League action on Saturday Evening at the London Sta.dium when they take on West Ham United.  Per team news, Enzo Maresca confirmed duo Enzo Fernandez and Kiernan Dewsbury Hall who had missed the previous clash would be back in action with the team. However,  Enzo Maresca has been told to start Tosin Adarabioyo against West Ham United. Tosin Adarabioyo impressed when he came on as a substitute for Axel Disasi in the second half and c onsidering Fofana’s less-than-impressive performances in recent games, there is a good case for starting Adarabioyo. The  match against Bournemouth marked Adarabioyo’s first league game after being an unused substitute in Chelsea’s opening three matches of the season. In August, he had already played two full games in the UEFA Conference League against Servette FC. With the game still hanging in the balance, Chelsea manage...
