"This is before you start talking about his performances on the pitch, because I think the last 56 games everyone played really well. Everyone was playing well. "Players come off the bench affecting games but during the difficult ti...

"I think everyone will say he’s going right to the top, he’s got everything. "He’s a great man manager, he’s tactically incredible, some of the decisions he tells us to do before the game and how you view the matches and it’s something that...

Three Chelsea players named in the Premier League Young team of the season.

Image
Chelsea's young team sparked fire in the just concluded season.  With Thiago Silva the oldest in the Chelsea squad last season, the   average age of the entire squad was amongst the youngest in the entire league. To show just how good the young team were under Pochettino,  three Chelsea players have been named in Daily Mail's Premier League Young team of the season.   First on the list is no doubt Cold Palmer, who was in red hot form, winning multiple awards in just his first season with the club.  Sitting as the second top scorer in the Premier League, it is easy to see why he was one of the three Blues named in the  Daily Mail’s  young Team of the Season. Second was Malo Gusto.   In just his first season at the club he was tasked with filling in for the injured Reece James for the majority of the campaign, a task he performed admirably. He showed both attacking and defensive prowess, with the Blues at times hardly missing t...

This is why Chelsea want to sign Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham | Incredible goals, skills and assists.

Image
Chelsea have reportedly made a contract offer for Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United ahead of being a free agent this summer. Adarabioyo announced his decision not to renew with Fulham earlier this year, which means interested clubs have had time to assess the player as a potential target. As well as Chelsea, the English centre-back has been linked to Manchester United and Newcastle. It makes sense that United would look to sign a 26-year-old centre-back with Premier League experience on a Bosman after the departure of Raphael Varane. Adarabioyo lived in Manchester whilst coming through Man City’s academy. According to Sky Sports News, Chelsea have offered a contract to Adarabioyo, with Newcastle still in talks with the Fulham defender. The report doesn’t mention whether United are in the race for Adarabioyo’s signature, but no decision has been made on his future yet. We have another two weeks until the transfer window opens...

Four Chelsea players who will benefit the most from Enzo Maresca's football style.

Image
Fabrizio Romano had confirmed on Tuesday that Enzo Maresca would be the Blues' new Manager ahead of the season, although,  an official announcement has not been made.  • Enzo Maresca's style of football will be of immense benefit to four key Chelsea players. • via Football.london Maresca's style of football: It is believed that the Chelsea hierarchy wanted someone who played an attractive style of football, especially possessive football. Maresca is seen as the perfect fit for that requirement  and after initial conversations with the Italian, the Blues' board were said to be eager to get the deal done as quickly as possible. However, it was not just as simple as keeping the ball for the sake of it for Maresca at Leicester. Over other areas of the pitch, some of the Foxes' players really shone last season for Maresca. Stephy Mavididi and Abdul Fatawu had the most one-on-one duels in the entirety of the Championship throughout the 2023/24 season. Mavididi topped th...

Image
Per Simon Phillips, Antonio Conte is set to raid his former club for this powerful star.  Antonio Conte is set to be Napoli's Manager although not yet officially announced and with Victor Osimhen rumored to be on his way out of the club, Conte is on the search for a striker to replace him.  Chelsea is the rumored destination for Osimhen and Conte reportedly wants Romelu Lukaku to replace him.   Simon Phillips in  his  Substack claimed  that he has been told Conte would like to add the Belgian to his ranks at his new club. He said: “Antonio Conte is set to take the Napoli manager job and sources believe he will come again for Lukaku. There’s maybe something to keep an eye on there with Osimhen too, perhaps a sweetener for any deal to sign him.” Recall Mauricio Pochettino had hinted at Lukaku's return to Stamford Bridge,  and with Conte on the move for his signature,  it remains to be seen whether that would likely happen.

Four Chelsea players who will benefit from Chelsea's Europa Conference League qualification.

Image
It was confirmed after Manchester United's 2-1 win over City that Chelsea will play in the Conference League.  Although, a reporter  suggests   there is a possibility that Chelsea won't  'automatically accept the invitation' to re-enter Europe in the upcoming campaign. The Telegraph's Matt Law has declared there is a chance that Chelsea won't compete in the tournament.  This is apparently because of the Profit and Sustainability issues hanging over the Stamford Bridge team. We all know the Blues hierarchy is said to be working hard behind the scenes to comply with PSRs. If entering means there could be a future ban from competing in all European competition, Law says CFC will not do so. However,  should Chelsea take part in the competition,  here are the players who would benefit: 1. Lesley Ugochukwu: one player who had few minutes of play after coming out of an injury in December is Lesley Ugochukwu.   Since the Conference League isn'...

The Catalan publication reports that the Blues have been seeking a “replacement for Thiago Silva” and they have identified the Uruguayan international as a top target. Araujo is a key player for Barca but they may have to reluctantly sell him after talks over a contract extension stalled. The La Liga side have offered a new deal but the defender hasn’t signed on the dotted line. With the 25-year-old closing in on the final two years of his contract, a sale could be considered for the right price. Lille’s Leny Yoro has been scouted but the teenager could cost even more than Araujo despite being a relatively inexperienced player. Nottingham Forest’s Murillo is another name that has been ...

Manchester United’s victory over Manchester City in Saturday’s FA Cup final means that Chelsea will play in the 2024/25 edition of the UEFA Europa Conference League. Chelsea finished sixth in the Premier League which guaranteed them a spot in Europe next season. If City had beaten United on Saturday then Chelsea would have qualified for the UEFA Europa League. But United – who finished eighth in the Premier League – took that Europa League spot as FA Cup winners thanks to a 2-1 win at Wembley, meaning that Chelsea must instead settle for a place in Europe’s no.3 club tournament. Chelsea will enter the Conference League in the play-off round alongside the likes of Lens, Real Betis and Hoffenheim. St Mirren, AEK Athens, Legia Warsaw, Cliftonville and St Patrick’s Athletic will also be in next season’s Conference League but will start their journey earlier in the qualifying rounds. Chelsea have never previously competed in the Conference League – which has only b...
